YOUNG BRITISH JEWELLERS
Young British Jewellers is an online community for
contemporary jewellers enabling innovation through interaction.
We provide free profile space for jewellers to promote
themselves; by gathering everyone together into one space we will make it
easier to access contemporary jewellery online.
We host and regularly update a list of current and future
jewellery exhibitions, again, making contemporary jewellery easier to access
online and ensuring that when an event is happening people know about it.
We are establishing our own program of events designed to
bring contemporary jewellers together enabling the formation of exciting new
collaborations and collectives. As many jewellers work alone in home studios
they can lack the support of a community environment which is what we hope to
provide through the website and during these events.
Through the blog we will bring you a variety of jewellery
‘stuff’ including access to jeweller’s
studios, interviews, exhibition reviews
and of course plenty of photos.
Young British Jewellers was founded in 2012 by Vega Bantock
and Christopher Minton, a jeweller and a historian.
